Lard has a few key differences from tallow: With less saturated fat, lard is softer at room temperature. And to us, it tastes even better than tallow (don't get us wrong, we love tallow). Because all of our lard comes from pasture-raised, outdoor-living hogs at My Brothers Farm in Oregon's Willamette Valley, it is chock-full of Vitamin D.

I did not get much bacon flavor. Rather flat tasting. Added some to chickpea curry and it did add to that dish. I would say it is better than my jerky. I would consider buying the bucket when they are back in stock.
I can't wait to order more. There's products are outstanding.!
