Happy with the product…. The spread is my favorite, but the brick is handy to portion out. Snack sticks are perfect for those who prefer old-school chew.. great flavor on all!

I have come to rely on my pemmican bars while spending an entire day outdoors hunting or fishing. It is easily digestible, and provides me with added endurance and excellent nutrition. I also eat them as periodic snacks throughout the days when not outdoors. It's an excellent source of energy and nutrition, thank you!!

I bought the pemmican and meat sticks for emergency kits for cars and winter mountain adventures. They last longer and are a better energy source than other options out there. I highly recommend!

The ideal food to stock. Personally, I could eat this day after day. A little goes a long way!

This pemmican had a better consistency - "mouth feel" - if you like - than others I have tried. I got the spiced bar and it's actually pretty tasty! Good stuff.

Tried it both, straight up as delivered, and fried up in scrambled eggs. I am impressed, will order more for long term storage.

I found the Beef bar pemmican to be as tasty as the best jerkies, melts in your mouth, with a crumbly texture. I ate two ounces at a sitting, it was comfortable to eat without water at hand.

I have tried the pemmican and found it to be tasty and very sustaining. A few bites is like a condensed meal. It keeps, it’s packed with energy and it’s perfect for traveling lite. Good stuff!

High quality vacuum packed foil wrap clear in the front that shows the product in a square durable plastic (or some such material) tray.
I put each one in a Quart size zip lock plastic bag to protect contents once foil pack is opened.
You can tell it's concentrated.
I found the texture of the beef bits to be a bit course and the fat to be noticeably waxy for my taste, but I think it's worth getting used to.
I can only eat a quarter of the 6 oz package at a time. I wouldn't want to eat more than one of these "half day" bars a day.
Daily recommended dietary allowance for 200 lb male seems to be around 3 oz Protein, so one 6 oz "half-day" Pemmican bar would seem to supply all the protein (and fat) that is required and more for a day on the range or trail.
Paired with string cheese this is great. Add dried fruit and nuts and perhaps some dark chocolate and that's about as good as it gets for a no cook meal that you can stop and pull out of your pack out on the trail without breaking out the stove and canteen cup or pot.
Need to drink along with water (I would say at least 8 ox for each quarter, to stay hydrated and to avoid the problems associated with eating high density low moisture food (like the famous military MREs) on the trail).
